Government Grants
Government Start-Up loans.
The government’s Start-up Loans scheme was originally aimed at young entrepreneurs, but no longer has any age restrictions. Business Grants range from smaller sums such as UK Government start-up grants at £2,500 to much more substantial figures in the millions from different bodies.
Entrepreneurs with a good business idea can apply for loans of up to £25,000 to help them get started. The money must be repaid over terms of up to five years, with interest payable at 6% a year. Successful applicants also receive free business advice.
Search for business finance on the government website using the finance finder tool to see which schemes you may be eligible for.
